From the JSOnline: (http://www.jsonline.com/blogs/business/86291192.html) Marc Marotta, former MU basketball star, has been elected by the board of directors of the Bradley Center to be Chairman of the Board.
Here's a little bit about Marc's playing career at MU (http://wiki.muscoop.com/doku.php/men_s_basketball/marc_marotta).
I wonder if he's still upset with Doc Rivers for stealing his girlfriend?
Is this the first election Marc has won in awhile?
How ..... Why..... wasn't he completely discredited in more than one of the Doyle ethical messes
Democrats need to have multiple ethics scandals on their resume to be credible.
Great pick. Former MU player and one of the smartest guys in Milwaukee.
Will he push through a reconfiguration of the seats and get rid of these dead spots (no seats) behind the backboards?
Marotta single handedly destroyed the '82-'83 team. All because the cutest girl to EVER walk the streets of 'Tosa ditched him for a smarter, better looking, more athletic guy.

I thought she was an Elm Grove product.
Those things need to be left in the past. It's just not fair to anyone directly involved.

Can't find a picture, but he certainly rebounded well (get it!!) with his now wife.

Now I'm interested. Anyone care to share?

I knew Marc in school. Regular guy & true Academic All-American. When we beat "that school across the lake" (moniker used by Fr. Donnelly at Freshman orientation, 1979), I fully expect him to rush the floor, flip off Kelly Tripucka in the stands and maybe even attempt to stand on the rim, just for old time sakes.
I believe him to be challenged by ethics. He and his bald friend in Madison let a woman go to jail for, what I believe, they did to extort money from Adleman Travel to be awarded a state contract. That is just my opinion of course and I do not have any proof.
That particular type of experience naturally works beautifully for his new position.
You may "believe" whatever you want. Funny, when I think about it, I took an ethics class with him and Glenn Rivers. The tall guys got the A, I got the B.

Getting an A in class has nothing to do with behaving ethically...just sayin'

For the life of me I thought she was a ched. Due to her outstanding looks her being a FIB does make more sense.

Um, Elm Grove is in Wisconsin.
I guess my 20 + year stay on the west coast is showing. Flat places like Wisconsin and Illinois start to blend together.

Like they say, "you're entitled to your own opinion, you're just not entitled to your own facts" of which you concede you have none. Thus, you have no opinion you just have a "belief" probably based upon your political predilicition. That, and a buck and a quarter will get you on the bus.

Perhaps it is just that there are facts that are best not published on an internet bulletin board.
I personally do not hold Mr Marotta in high regard, either when he was in college or now.

Well, if the former "star" associates himself with a soon to be former governor who has made pay for play his one personal retirement plan, then yes I will challenge his ethics. They let another person go to jail for their own transgressions. Whether those activities were illegal or not, they are ethically challenged.
I think MM was the one who brokered the casino deal for Doyle that pretty much gave away the house to the Potawotamis.

You sound like one of the charcters that rails against those "Big Business Criminals getting tax breaks", but when Big Government feathers their own bed you see no evil.

euphemistic explanation for how she left Marotta.

I am a liberal Democrat. However, what Marotta did to Georgia Thompson was beyond pathetic.
