Funny article on ESPN about how big name schools are rushing the court too often. However, in the article, one of the exceptions was...
"You are Wisconsin-Milwaukee and you are 0-37 against your cross-city rival Marquette. When you win you should rush the court, then City Hall, then the Miller factory."
Haha. I hope that doesn't happen next season when we start playing in Cellular.

I agree that that would be an acceptable court rush
love how he calls out II, II too
I'm talking to you, Indiana. You rushed the court this season after beating Minnesota. Minnesota? Really? How is beating Minnesota cause for unrestrainable joy? It's like pantsing the chess club.

The day this happens is the day I cry.
it will look really sweet when all 7 of their fans rush the court.
i was at the MEcca las tSaturday. what a dump. i can't believe we have to play there this year. what a waste.
Repost.

That is not a bad seat in the house at the mecca. It will be fun when 3/4 of the place will be MU fans.
I'll be going there. It's a dump, but it's our dump from when I was a kid.
both of those last posts are ridiculous. I didn't say seating was bad, i just said it is a garbage dump. Can't believe a DI teams play there.
The seats are right on top of the floor, that place at 9000 people can get louder than the BC at 14,000. I'll never forget that USF game in the 1995 NIT. Best atmosphere until Wade arrived.

Oh man, what does this say about the state of our program in 1995?
Michigan rushed after they beat UCONN. They were ranked 15th at the time, but still, k'mon.

Correct to a degree. But this was MU's first game back since they moved. The old barn rocked that night. Better than 80% of the BC crowds since.
I wish I could find that game on DVD. Would love to hear the crowd when Hutch hit the three to ice it in OT.

That's the stupid kind of sh!t you can attribute to Crean. Of course when you win once every 7 games or so, I guess that's exciting for some...
Maryland fans rushing the court last night against Duke was a bit over the top in my opinion.

That entire game rocked. IIRC, it was the emergence of Hutch the Clutch. Rushing the court was awesome that night. Yeah,
after beating South Florida in a quarterfinal NIT game, we Marquette fans rushed the court. So sad... but I don't regret it.
Every time I think rushing the court is lame (and honestly, it is), I remember that.
Honestly, rushing the court is fine whenever it happens (provided nobody gets hurt).
It's just kids having fun.
Let them have their moment.

I think last night it was acceptable. They won the ACC I believe by winning that game, and it was the first time in a while they had beaten Duke. Case by case basis.
Always been a fan of Rick Reilly. Saw a topic about rushing the court on here a few weeks ago. Couldn't find it again.

Nice little quote about UWM and MU as well about examples when it's alright to storm the court.

Excellent! Not many articles that good out there.
nm
really don't like Reilly, but a fun article. nice to see a shout out for the most lopsided "rivalry" around.

I'd be OK if UWM rushed the court. I hope I am dead.
