Title: I Freakin Love Buzz Williams
Post by: Jam Chowder on March 02, 2010, 10:27:44 PM
Did anyone else see his leprechaun dance after the DJO put-back at the end? I almost peed my pants I laughed so hard. That dude jumps around like a goofus and it is AWESOME.

I watched that about 80 times, loved it! Love his enthusiasm, love how loose he stays and how loose he keeps the guys. This game had several turning points that could have gone the wrong way for if not for the leadership. That includes Zar for not throwing it in after being stuffed nearly the entire game. Could not love this team more.

My wife told me to rewind the DVR and "let's see that again!".  I thought Buzz was going to pull a hamstring!

My wife was laughing.  She calls him Shrek.  A lovable ogre with hops.

ABSOLUTELY LOVE BUZZ AND HIS HEART AND EMOTION!!

Sure... over the years we'll have some rough times and have to deal with some coaching mistakes but there is nobody else that I want representing my alma mater and leading these young men into battle.

Buzz emotional on the radio.  Called the team a militia.  Gotta love it!

Here's an awesome pic of Buzz busting out the karate kick after Fulce's putback.  Sorry, couldn't load the pic directly.  http://scores.espn.go.com/ncb/photos?gameId=300620269&photoId=494251#photo_494251 (http://scores.espn.go.com/ncb/photos?gameId=300620269&photoId=494251#photo_494251)

Jim Mcilvaine suggested a blue and gold cammo shirt for next years MU Madness
Was Buzz's voice just cracking because he'd been screaming all game and he was sick (as Homer said) or because he was getting emotional? I'd like to pretend it was the latter. He sounded read proud of how the team was playing... a lot of character class heart and faith in that man. I f'ing love having him as our coach. If anyone can get the audio of that interview I'd probably listen to it on loop all day tomorrow.

Um, not sure we want to call ourselves the Marquette Militia - too many crazy militia groups out there that have sullied that brand (Timothy McVeigh was in a militia).
