Outstanding and it ain't over. Now lets destroy ND on senior night and then take care of that first BE tournament game. No more bubble, now its planting the seed.
We're playing for seed here on out!!
What a game. DJO!!!!
MU in 5th place with one game to go - unbelievable!!! They've earned every bit of it. Hayward - great leadership! Acker - the little man that can. Buzz - the right coach at the right time for MU. Can't help but be proud of this team and this program right now!
sick stuff.

That just sealed it...we are dancing again this year. What a great game and against a good team.
5 Straight Years!
Guaranteed 5th place and a tournament LOCK!. They needed this one to ease the stress, know they can open up a lead. Louisville doesn't play that bad very often, but much of that was our play, our coaching, and our gameplan. What didn't go right? Our two best players in foul trouble, just hoping to hold our own maybe not even until halftime and we open the game up into a comfortable halftime lead. Hayward and Butler took over when they needed to, when the others were running out of steam. Didn't have to play an ill Buycks. Fulce is going to earn plenty of minutes the rest of the year, not to mention as a senior next year. DJO stepped up and took over the game, and played a complete game. The crowd was awesome. Even got the good announcers-Canellis and Kelly are a HUGE difference in talent, quality, knowledge, entertainment, and doing their homework compared to any of the other ESPN teams. They really make the broadcast much, much more enjoyable.
I'm so proud of this team, so proud to be a fan, so proud to be an alum.
GO MARQUETTE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That was some of the best defense I have seen. They worked their tails off, especially after a hard fought win on Sunday. That is using our quickness and neutralizing size. Minus a handful of careless turnovers, and the run which most teams have in them, this was a picture perfect game for us. Well done.
AWESOME WIN... I LOVE IT!!
THAT SAID... LET'S GO OUT ON SAT AND WHOOP ND'S ARSE!!!!!
I never thought I would say this this season WE ARE IN THE BIG DANCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Can't believe we're dancing!!! Wahooo!! To quote Buzz at the start of the BE season, "Do we look like the 12th place team?!" Soooo proud of these men.
It's nice to be playing our best ball in March.
I just want to join this thread...
GO MARQUETTE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not just 5th place with one game to go, 5th place NO MATTER WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Jimmy Mac and Homer playing "Dancin'" on 540. Love it!
With a W against ND, we'd be 12-6 and tie our best BE record yet (least year).
07: 10-8
08: 11-7
09: 12-6 (DJ hurt at end)
10: ????
But I digress. We just went red bird hunting with a 12 gauge. w00t!
lets keep winning and get another 6 seed in the NCAA tourney. Only downside of this win is we are probably an 8 seed right now. We need more wins. Lets do it boys. Assuming we dont lay an egg in first game of BET bring on PITT, we want them again.
12-6 and a win in the big east tounament gets us at the very LEAST a 6 seed. Maybe even a 5. The committee will reward us because we are playing awesome going into the dance. I just hope we don't get stuck with a 8 or 9... that would suck. Kentucky or Kansas in round 2.... ouch

No worries, we own Kentucky in the tournament!
And I've got to punch myself to believe it.
Never in a million years did I expect this team to accomplish this. Everyone knew we would pay for that first year after The Three Amigos. You can't have four-year studs like them, scare away other kids who will want to play, and go to the Dance in the year after they leave. It just isn't done.
Not only did Buzz do it...he has laid the foundation for years to come.
I love Rick Pitino being pissed at my team. I'll wear that proudly...for a long time.
RING OUT AHOYA!!!
What a crazy year. What a great game.
So proud of Buzz and the boys and this team. So proud to be an alum. See you all Saturday for Notre Dame (my first game in person this year!)
Seashells and Balloons all around.
