Tonight's game is gonna be really tough. Only one full day of rest. We are up against a long team that can run. And they have a quality big man. Gosh, we have been cold from the field as of late and I hope tonight we are able to get hot and knock down our threes.
Louisville played on Sunday too, after us.
And we started out hot against SH. I'm still worried that the Cards will pound us, but if it's a close game (and when isn't it), I like our odds.
They are much deeper than us. That is where the one day for each team makes a difference.
Don't worry boys and girls. We've got this one.
Will be a very tough one, but down to the wire and MU wins by 3 (Lazar hits the last shot).
Anyway we win would be good - will be a rough, physical game. Erik will see time.
GO MARQUETTE!!!!

Lazar would rather have Butler take the last shot.
I'd love to have one of these buzzer-beater wins happen at home this season :)
I would love more than anything to just win by like 6 and not have to sit through more gut wrenching 1 and 1s in the final minute.
Take the 3 and 1/2.

No kidding, this team (and its fans) are in need of a serious Cincinnati-type blowout (from last year).

Sportsbook.com, MGM and Ceasers have MU favored by 1.5.
I fear that in about 12 hours this board will be lit up with "F'ing Samardo Samuels manhandled us in the paint." I can't take another close game or another heart breaker. The team is pretty deep and their bench get their starters about a 10 minute break... but that's me being pragmatic and cynical.
Optimistically I think the home crowd will do wonders tonight and that'll start some momentum. I want to see a big game from Butler and DJO. Some well timed 3s will get tonights crowd roaring
I think Buzz has got this one tonight. Why? And why do I say Buzz has got it?
Last year, in the first game adter DJ went down, Buzz took the team guided by Acker down to play @UL (#4 in pomeroy last year) and lost 62-58. Sure you can't compare teams from year to year, but in my mind the 2010 Warriors would beat the 2009 DJ-less Warriors, and we get the game at home.
I think with Buzz's additional coaching experience, he'll have a great game plan against an "ok" Pitino team. Couple that with a friendly crowd, we'll get the W here.
Fire up Marquette! Get this win! Oh, and the fans better bring it tonight - I'll be yelling from CO!
im almost positive we dont beat last years team

Even with my clause?

I'd like to see the game, but I guarantee it neither team would get blown out ;D

Something cracks me up about envisioning last year's team versus this year's team. Who would guard Hayward? Hayward?
