Wish I could afford this! I think it's an original (not a reproduction).

Man, is that ugly. Pretty cool, though. Mike Mills is is?
That jersey is sweet. I think I'll follow that item and maybe bid on it near the end of auction.
Was Mills a guard? The jersey says 42 (size).
B/c that's pretty small, even when they wore their jerseys tight back then!

Mike Mills wore #11 according to this picture of the team

Mills definately wore #35. This jersey appears authentic. I gave a historical account of the teal look on RingOutAhoya.

4ever...did he switch numbers? The media guide definitely shows him in #11 in the 1970 NIT photograph.
Chicos, Do you really think this seller had this jersey made up special for "Mills?" It's fairly obvious to me that it's authentic. But, whatever. I just wanted to point it out to the board. I think it's a real find.
in both the 71-72 and 72-73 MU media guides that I have in my "library". He would not have been in the 1970 NIT photo since he would have been a freshman that year (1970 being pre-freshman-eligible)?
on page 93 of the 1973 Marquette Hilltop is a picture of Mike "Spider" Mills in this very jersey attempting to tip in a rebound. His varsity number was always 35 as far as I can remember. Since he backed up Jim Chones, however, PT was limited till Chones turned pro. Even at that, I believe Al slid Larry McNeil to play the 5 spot.
PRN...I just wanted clarification. Fraud with sports memorabilia items is high and people have gone to prison over it. That is why I asked.
The FBI estimates 50% (some say 90%) of all sports memorabilia is fake.

Including this whopper..... "I would say 75 to 80 percent of the stuff on eBay is bad," said Jim Schaefer, owner of Jim's Card Korner in Madison."
For the others, thank you for the clarification on the number. It appears that his number must have changed as he is listed as #11 by the SID in the media guide.
Below is page 151 of the media guide which includes the 1970 NIT picture and Mike Mills. Now, I believe this time period freshmen were ineligible which might be why he was still in the pictures as a member of the team and had a different jersey number, just a guess.
Again, thank you for the clarification to all.

Does anybody know what year Marquette stopped producing yearbooks?

Thanks
I was going to say that I have a '77 yearbook and wanted to know if I should post it on the wiki, but I think putting up this link might be just as good.
