I thought i read on here a while ago that the Lou. game will be a baby blue out and all fans receive a baby blue t-shirt?
Is this true, and if so does anybody know if the shirt will be anything cool with it being al's night like a big al logo or something?
anyone know?
thanks
Christ man, you gotta change the wording of this thread. I thought it had something to do with a Vander Blue injury that could affect his MU career and I got all freaked out. I know you didn't mean to, but it happened.
Well this "Blue Out" has to be the biggest secret of the year...haven't heard a thing..
and please do change the thread name....I was thinking he's hurt...was suspended or something.
I thought the same thing
I knew what you meant, and I haven't heard anything about the baby blue out.
just students get baby blue shirts tomorrow
anything interresting on them related to al's night or what have you , or maybe a jordan brand shirt?
or just a standard marquette basketball aurora healthcare type of thing
They're handing baby blue shirts to the first 4000 students there. Pretty standard stuff, "AL" written in the middle of the chest with "Marquette" underneath. Haven't seen the back so who knows if they have a Jordan logo on there. I don't know if the intention is to have the students wear them or not, but I for one am thankful for a color other than yellow. My drawer is starting to become monochromatic.
Baby blues on the court tomorrow?
Don't they usually wear gold on AL's night? But if they are giving away baby blue's that jersey would make sense too. The last two times we've played Louisville we've worn the baby blues.
They can only give it to students because the sweater-vest crowd will take umbrage that the shade of blue is incorrect and a slap in their collective faces.
On a related note, is it just me or has this been the weakest year for giveaways in awhile? Last year we had the Al statues and the mini-hoops. The year before that we got the kids Wade jerseys. Nothing of note this year. The media guides were upgraded, but that's about it. Not that I'm complaining, I go to see the games, not for the freebies, just an observation.
Dont forget about the Wade figurine, thats one of my favorite giveaways and i proudly display it on my desk.
No bobbleheads even.
I think it has a lot to with Craig Pitens leaving MU. The man was outstanding when it came to marketing the team and drawing fans to the BC. LSU is lucky to have him.
Could be the economy too...companies typically shell out $$$ for their name to be planted on the giveaway.
I disappointed with the lack of give-aways this year. My kids have a nice bobblehead collection going and was hoping to add Matthews, McNeil and James to the collection this year. It may be the economy, but the Brewers are having a ton of give-aways this year.
I am completely serious when I say next year they should have a Buzz Williams Chia-statue giveaway.
They need a Great Alaska Shootout Mini-Banner giveaway night.
Why the tanned one didn't do that, who knows?
You'd think they'd at least do something to commemorate the 5th anniversary our 2005 NIT appearance
