Title: Funny Comment by SI.com's Andy Glockner
Post by: Roscoe on March 01, 2010, 12:18:14 PM
Included in his Housekeeping notes section of today's Bubble Watch post:

Send your very valuable feedback to bubblewatch@gmail.com or to @aglockon Twitter. All submissions are read; polite, fact-based ones stand the best chance of a response. Readers who claim their team's record is wrong because they failed to read the previous paragraph will be forced to play overtime against Marquette.

He was on a Marquette lovefest yesterday on his twitter account.

True story: Marquette took that final shift for Team USA.

Marquette thinks USA-Canada feels like "just another regular-season game." #whatsthebigdeal #mubb

Oh he has been tracking Marquette for a while, affectionately nicknaming them TBW or Team Bubble Watch. He called MU making the tournament when they were 2-5.

And that MU would finish 11-7, so he's looking pretty good right now.

Hopefully he is wrong - 12-6 would be much better!

Which is ironic because in his days at ESPN, he always found the time to put Marquette down.

I was going to say something similar.  I wouldn't say he was anti-Marquette when at ESPN but he definitely didn't hand out much praise, either.

So, I'm marrying into a New England family, and the more I speak with them and am around them, the more I learn that New Englanders are, quite simply, completely and utterly irrational about New England teams no matter the sport or situation.  That tWWL is located in Connecticut, I think, plays a pretty big role in their coverage.  It's only hearsay, but I have read that a lot of the folks that work there are New Englanders beyond just working there.

Also, while I love most Charles Pierce's writing both for its style and substance, his constant ballwashing of Tawmy Brady is just sick.
