So if South Dakota had beaten Utah Valley, you'd have them ranked right now?

RPI is right behind MU at 50... their SOS is 151

ZERO top 25 wins (0-1)
ONE 26-50 win (1-0)
FOUR 51-100 (4-3)

Great question.  top 25 material?  I think not.

deserve to be in the tourney if they don't win their conference tourney?  I think not.

UTEP has just destroyed Tulsa twice this season.  Caracter took the Golden Hurricane 7 foot center to school.  The Tulsa center is projected as a first round NBA draft pick.  The Miners are good.

touche. i was trying to avoid having to have a major argument that a team in multi bid conference should be ranked if they rattle off 12 straight. no way a CUSA team shouldnt be ranked for that.  CUSA might not be the BE, but 12 in a row is 12 in a row.

They're actually ahead of us in the RPI

We're at 50, they're at 47.

Which proves that the RPI is a flawed system.

Yup, but it's the one the NCAA developed so flawed or not, we can't ignore it.

The RPI is not the end-all, be-all but this is just another example why I want the tournament expanded.  No reason why a UTEP should be excluded when they can't get the games on their schedule that are worthy because the big boys won't play them.

Utah State
Old Dominion
Siena
Cornell
Kent State
Wichita State
St. Mary's

I want these guys in the tournament a heck of a lot more than I want the conference tournament winners from the MEAC or the SWAC.
