Was perusing the Louisville board, and the front porch moonshine gang have been doing their annual rehash of the many "incidents" involving Marquette and their lack of class. The classics include...
1. Mike Deane flipping off the Freedom Hall crowd. The story has apparently expanded to the point where MU actually apologized for this. That's new this year.
2. The MU players chanting NIT, NIT, NIT - that one never gets old.
3. Tom Crean suggesting that Ellis Myles was faking his knee injury. ?
I'm sure there are others.
Just when I think Pitt fans have overtaken the throne, these guys come through and reclaim their rightful place.

I dont think those have ever happened
He Hit it, He Hit It, 3 times in a row Marquette beats Louisville.
My understanding of the Deane-o situation is that he pumped his fists and on air Homer called it the Brooklyn Salute so MU fans back home thought he was flipping off UL...then when UL accussed us of that MU fans didn't deny it b/c of Homer's call.
98 was a fun year until Hutch got injured or whatever...

Funny how each of these has a part truth, only to be turned into a total lie:
1. Mike Deane did pump his fist to the crowd
2. Crowd chanted NIT, NIT, NIT vs. Louisville though not the team
3. Tom Crean did try to find out what was holding things up when Myles went down
