FYI
SOFT BUBBLE! ;D- i had to
Had to modify to thank Chicos- that site is pretty sweet. Impressive to say the least
LOL. I noted that Jay Lunardi, AGAIN, today called it a very soft bubble. I'm trying to get the clip so I can post it. Put that in your pipe and smoke it!! LOL (just kidding).
Haha I'm all about the soft bubble, especially if it helps Marquette get in (hopefully they dont need it)
Also, not sure how these knuckleheads with the "Dance Card" (sweet name though) do with reguards to seeding, but if their formula is close to being correct as MU being the 35th best at large team, that may mean that MU is closer to the 8-9 seed range.
That would also be consistent with the "soft bubble"... If MU finishes out strongly, with all these 'weak' bubble teams they will likely get a higher seed than we have been guessing.
Maybe we should start hoping for a 7 seed rather than a 10? Lets get in first
Was it Al that coined that phrase, the Big Dance?
Actually if you look at the site it is a soft bubble but MU isn't one of the teams that is being helped by it.
If you have a negative Dance Card number it means that in a typical year you would fall outside the bubble. So Illinois, Ole Miss, Miss State and ST. Marys should be thankful(at least according to this site
).
MU would be in during any typical year according to Dance Card.
ps. The way I understand "Dance Card" is if today was Selection Sunday we would have an 87% chance of being selected. Thats not quite the same as saying we have an 87% chance of getting selcted in 2 weeks.......still looks very good though.
Mark, that is correct. Our play in the last week plus has moved us off the bubble so that soft or not, it doesn't matter for MU. Now, let's make sure to win one of the next 2 so we're not having to see how soft it is.
I'm still banking on Akron, Portland and Iona make the tournament
combining for a .07% chance means there is still hope right?
