Will get to prove he is 2nd round worthy.
Is it wise for him to go? A bad shooting night there might not hurt him, but it wouldn't help, either. He has a mightily impressive resume as it stands now, including a spot on the USA college team, which Wes or any of the 3 amigos didn't have. Don't know that he has as much to gain from Portsmouth as Wes did last year.
It should give him a chance to play the 3. He's definitely not going to be a post-player in the NBA so he'll have to prove that he can play out on the wing (and defend out on the wing).

The perception of Lazar is he is a great college player whose game doesn't translate. He needs to go and dominate there, otherwise he doesn't have a prayer of being drafted.
