Title: Do you suppose...
Post by: tower912 on February 25, 2010, 11:13:38 AM
Tim Maymon is still watching our games?   Or has he tuned out since apparently there is life after JMay?

I'm sure he is, but I REALLY want to play Tennessee in the tournament in the first round if at all possible 5/12 matchup or 6/11. I will be hoping for that matchup.

Careful what you wish for, that would be a tough matchup in the first round if you ask me.  Tenn is one of two teams that are actually decent in the SEC, the rest are crap, lol

I think Vandy is pretty good.

And they crushed the Vols, twice.

To be honest I think Tennessee is overrated, plus there not deep. They may play as if they are in terms of how many players see the court but don't be fooled. There will be many interesting matchups between teams that get 5, 6, and 7 seeds against teams from major conferences that play tougher schedules.

Will undoubtedly be a tough year to pick in the brackets.

Totally agree.  There are gonna be some real tough matchups to be picking this year's first weekend.

I'd much rather play Tenn. next year with JMay on the court.

+1...That would be pretty sweet!  I'd love to watch Jimmy take it to Maymon...or wait, I should say Vander and DJO since JMay would undoubtably be playing the 2 for Tennessee.  ::)

Careful what you wish for... Tennessee played pretty well this past weekend huh?  Not saying they are actually THAT good, but idk if I'd go as far as to say that I wanna play them in the NCAA tournament.

From the games I have seen them play I have not come away that impressed, even if they have won some big games this year. I am unsure on the level of play in the SEC this year as a conference, yet I could be proved wrong come tourney time. I'm interested to see how the SEC and Big 12 fairs as a whole in the tourney.

Can you imagine jmay playing the two and trying to guard djo, vander, or even buycks?

No, but at the same time I can't see Vander or Buycks doing very well if J-May posted them up...works both ways.
