I think this is where lack of a bench hurts us. Guys get a little tired and lazy. Fresh players bring a little more energy.

we were only in the game because of unbelievable shooting. We had to come back to earth.

David Cubillian is pathetic, if Cadougan isnt good enough to get more playing time than him, we are in some serious trouble in the future.

The run started when JC was put into the game.  Sigh.  Defense very disappointing at the end of the half.

Cincy has all the momentum and frankly, with our lack of senior leadership (Lazar), I think they deserve to pick up the W unless our fearless leader shows us otherwise in the second half.

Absolutely pathetic.

Brutal, brutal.  Zar better get it going or his is toast.

Acker misses a floater agian and then a 30 footer.  ????????

Clock managment with Cubes, down to 3 seconds and throw it away. YUCK.

Two blocks by Cinn at end.

Who is calling these plays, good grief.

22 to 2 run.

Sorry, but the last 8 minutes or so was like watching a CYO team play.

Great turnovers by Cubby!
No field goals in the last 7 minutes? yeah we're screwed
Is Lazar still playing for MU?

yeah we were shooting out of our minds,    i mean crap even stickman fulce hit a three and we looked good with lazar on the bench......

lazar is playing like dog crap last two games trying to force everything especially in the paint.
cubi--- well hes just terrible
butler --- not getting him the ball

also lets just hold the ball til theres 5 seconds left on these possesions so we have to force a jumper .... sound like a good plan??

Getting out-coached here.  That TO Cinncy took was the turing point so far - we have NOT adjusted since, have managed the clock poorly, and have missed some opens.

We need to make the right adjustments at 1/2 time.  If we do, we can go on another run. I just HATE losing huge leads.  From 13 up to 6 down is not acceptable.

Cubillian is a joke.  Just because a guy happens to play a minute during a run, doesn't mean the run was his fault.  Give me a break Cadougan has played what maybe 2 minutes.  Sigh.  What exactly does Cubillan do that you feel obligated to come to his defense.(I hope that isn't a personal attack, I dont need another ban).

I didn't realize I was defending Cubillan.   Personally, attacking players isn't my style.  Saying a player is a joke isn't my style.

In some games he's been terrific and in some games not terrific.

Adjustments against MU are very simple...guard the perimeter.  Once they put pressure on the guards the rest falls into place.  Lazar actually killed our offensive momentum.  He tries to run the isolation offense and quite frankly isn't good enough to score one on one all the time.  MU had great ball movement, everyone was touching it, shooting in rythm.  He comes back in and it comes to a grinding halt.

It is amazing what bulk can do for you.  Gates owns the paint.  MU will have this same defensive situation for the next couple of years.

Players have good and bad games - the key is knowing what's happening during hte game for a player, and adjusting.  Maybe you take him out, sit him down, talk to him, etc.  When a player is in a funk, sometimes he can come out of it, and sometimes not in a gamel  COach has to adjust and correct.

You still didn't answer my question.  What does he do that makes him valuable enough to get as much playing time as he does?  Yes, I realized he went 6-6 on three's against G'Town..........anything else?  Cubillian is 22 years old, hardly makes him a "kid."

Uhm, I'm not the coach....ask the coach, he's the one playing him.  I consider anyone playing on the team a kid, must be my age.  Obviously no one else he has recruited he believes is playing better than Cubes, right?

What happened to our drive and kick? Our guards either drive all the way and turn it over...or they dribble back and forth on the perimeter and chuck up a bad shot...

Not necessarily, a lot of coaches play upper classmen because they have "earned it."  You don't think Buycks or Cadougan would be more productive if they were given Cuby's minutes?  I think you are in the minority on that one.  I like Buzz, a lot, but Cubillans minutes have killed this team.

Also...we gotta give some credit to Cincy...barely over 29% on the year from 3...putting in over 60% today...

acker .............. nice try with the soft puss floater layup again that gets swatted we got lucky there..... how has the guy gotten this far and not realised that those lazy floater layups of his tiny frame are going to get sucked up by a black hole

Buzz strikes me as a guy that will only play someone based on merit, not based on tenure.

At any rate, nice 3 pointer by Cubes...started the run that MU is on.

Yeah, if we win that 3 will be the turning point of the game, and Cuby will the Big East player of the Week.

Got it to within one, then two layups by Cincy.  Now another by Toyloy.

Where is Lazar?  He's hit one for seven.

Fulce has been absolutely fantasic.  He looks like a completely different player, probably due to a hot start and consistent minutes.

It doesn't look like he is thinking anymore.  He looks smooth in the offense and is letting his skills take over.  It's nice to see that.

Buycks hasn't played much either in this game, at least not to be visible.  Buzz has other options at the guard spots but he has chosen to go with those two.

Last 3 possessions, Cuby lets the big man get an easy layup in transition, bricks a 3 and gives up a lay up to Vaughn.....Gotta love the guy

Up 3, then on two straight possessions work the clock to 2 seconds and throw up jumpers, both long misses by Cubes and DJO.  Now down.....Come on
