Me and some MU buddies just got back from watching the Menomonie Falls/Tosa East game to watch J.P. play. He didn't have a dominant game offensively, but I can see why this guy is a hot commodity as a soph. He probably scored about 15 points with close to 10 boards. Bo Ryan was at the game to see him play. If he grows like two more inches he would be an awesome 6'7" small forward. I know he is very highly touted right now, and is probably looking more towards the Kansas, UNC tier of schools than MU. Anyone think Buzz has a shot at landing him? We got Vander Blue. I'm sure you remember how we were a finalist for Jamil Wilson out of Racine, Horlick who was a top flight recruit as a soph and Junior, then slipped back a bit as a senior. Maybe the same happens for J.P.? I don't know much at all about the kid, and whether he would even be interested in playing for the hometown team.
kid is a beast.
He's the real deal!
Tokoto is pretty good as well.
Here's a recap from his visit to UNC for the Duke game last week:

Based on what Ive seen, and heard, we have no shot. Ive been to 5 games this year and I haven't seen Buzz at one yet. Ive seen Roy Williams twice! Bo(Adolf)Ryan twice, and Bill Self once. As far as I know he is almost a lock to go to Carolina with UW as a distant second. He is very mature physically, but he has a long way to go mentally and emotionally. I realize he is only 16, so that will come in time. He will be a one or two and done player. Just unbelievably athletic and coordinated for a 16 year old kid who is 6'6. All that soccer really helped his footwork!
Buzz should tell him that if he had 7 McDonald's All-Americans he could do better than 3-9 in the ACC.
