Another Madison kid that isn't listed by UW-Madison despite being in their own backyard. What's the background on this? I've read a lot of disparaging words by Badger fans about the Memorial coach who is also a former Badger, Hensey Aurienthal.
What's the scoop?
UW-Madison isn't listed because they really don't get along with Auriantal, and are avoiding the kid even though he's very talented. There's a mutual dislike there that goes back to just after Auriantal's career ended, and predates anything having to do with Lomomba.
How much of the Maymon situation had to do with Auriantal? If he was part of the problem. it wouldn't kill me if Lomomba went elsewhere.

That's kind of what I had heard....what's the dislike? I've heard they (UW-Madison) doesn't care for how Auriantal runs his program, etc.
Junior is a popular name for Canadians, eh?

Yes, but be careful not to lengthen it.

I'll go with "eh" for Canucks.
When I see "Aye" (pronounced "I") I think pirates. "Aye aye, cap'n!"

Is Aurienthal the coach of Madison Memorial? I thought he was just the kid's uncle.
Auriantal is his AAU coach.
Hey guys first post but have been lurking on here frequently for some time, just got bored enough at work to post something.
The one thing I liked about this that nobody brought up yet is the "Auriantal's message to him is always the same: Work hard. Be humble." To me it doesn't sound as much like Jmay and more like an attitude that would succeed at MU.
Pretty sure Tim Maymon doesn't value the "be humble" part of that equation.

This kid can play. Just wait until after this summer AAU and Junior Lomomba will be in Rivals Top50 in his class, just wait. He's not listed under Wisconsin because he will not go to Wisconsin, he's better than that. He's too talented for Bo Ryan and doesn't fit his drone system. I have a good feeling that Marquette will be right there at the top in the end and has a solid chance of landing him, especially with Vander talking up MU (hopefully). And I've heard other things regarding MU and Junior, which I wont mention again because a select few of muscoop people despise when I do...
Hennessy is not a good guy. He played a big part in the Maymon situation - from start to finish.
Yes MR. Rivals he is for sure too good for UW. Why would he want to be in the top 20 and go to the tourney every year?
UW does have some interested but has not offered.

Maybe he has NBA aspirations, in fact according to the article he does. That alone would put UW-Madison a little further down the pecking order.
Or maybe he believes the UW-Madison camp isn't as conducive to what he wants in terms of style, teammates, etc. Different strokes for different folks. Some people love gated communities, some love the real world.

bolded for importance.
I'd suggest that Mr. Rivals is somewhat a hyperbole type of guy on these boards, but he doesn't miss the mark by much.
additionally, Butch here is correct... Hennessey was HEAVILY involved with JM.

Because when you try to prove how cool you are....you tend to cross the line. And your awesome insider stories are, in fact, recruiting violations.
So yes, I guess I do despise when you do that...
Junior does not yet have an offer from MU, according to people who would know.

But Tiger Woods lives in a gated community and that seems like the real world.
Shiver me timbers there's a badger in this thread!

In the Rivals Top 50 or Top 150? Just asking cause after all, you are MrRivals150, not MrRivals50.
Of course, I prefer the skinny from MrRivals#1, but seeing as how he's down in Tennessee now, I don't hear much from him anymore.

Perhaps he's looking for a school that teaches proper grammar.
Maybe you need to go back to school to learn the difference between bad grammar and bad typing. :-\

No, I think his education is fine. Adding two letters to the end of the word when it results in something different is not bad typing.
I think Junior L.'s real name is Albert, but Junior C. is a legit junior. butchbadger's real name is Sally.
