Game 25: Pittsburgh

Every game from here on out is a huge one for the Marquette Golden Eagles.

But Thursday night's matchup with the No. 19 Pittsburgh Panthers could be the biggest, as this is MU's final chance at notching a resume-builder with regard to the NCAA tournament. Pittsburgh enters ranked 14th in the RPI, and if the Golden Eagles are able to pull off their sixth straight victory, it would give them two wins over top-15 teams (Georgetown being the other.

MU's five-game winning streak coming in is actually the longest active win streak in the Big East, and has been powered in large part by Lazar Hayward. The senior forward is averaging 19.4 points and 10.4 rebounds for MU over the course of it, and enters the game with Pittsburgh needing just three points to pass Brian Wardle and Travis Diener and move into fifth place on the school's all-time scoring list.
