Title: Big East Games Wednesday and Thursday
Post by: copious1218 on February 17, 2010, 04:16:09 PM
Five Games over the next two days in the Big East:

Tonight:

-West Va @ Providence
-ND @ L'Ville
-Hall @ St. John's

Tomorrow:

-Cuse @ G'Town
-Ours

Any thoughts on these games?  I'm rooting for Providence (not likely), ND (hightly doubtful), and St. John's (possible) tonight.  Rooting for us and Cuse tomorrow.

All of them have some bearing on where we are in the standings (except maybe the Hall/St. John's game).

Edit:  Changed SH to St. John's in the "who I am rooting for section" because I'm an idiot.

SH has a very easy of season schedule. I worry about them making a run, so I'd rather them lose to SJ.

Not sure how I messed that up, but I meant I was cheering for the Red Storm - good catch.

Damn, wish that 'Cuse-GTown game was tonight--it'll be hard to catch the end tomorrow from the Bradley Center.

If all falls right, can we be in a tie for 3rd after tomorrow?

Not looking ahead, but I am really enjoying the fact that this scenario is even a possibility.  What an exciting season it has been / lies ahead.

Jack Cooley for Notre Dame looks exactly the same as Luke Harangody.

I thought the same exact thing.  It's scary, actually.

Close, though not a school...the Indiana Pacers!

Do we really need to make this a discussion of race? Please. We do not do this in New Rochelle.

just an observation.  Who was making it a race discussion?  I absolutely hate this about our world today.  So if you look at a bowl of M&M's and there are 20 red ones and two yellow ones, are you forbidden to say, "Gee, look at all the red M&M's in this bowl, that's a little unusual."?  It's unusual that a major college basketball team has so many white players.  FACT.

Oops - I didn't realize it was Rob and Laura making the comment - never mind  ;D

Yeah, I think the race thing should've been in teal.

Besides, its not about race, its about a way of life.  And that way of life for the Pacers is white.  I mean, watching them play I think I would pay to see the Nets ahead of them.  At least how comically bad they are makes them interesting.  As opposed to watching the vanilla Pacers 82 points their way to the 10th or 11th record in an already underwhelming East.

They can also take a -1 white guy for Evans' fade.

A high-top fade like Ryan Evans' is +2 white guys according to the NCAA rulebook.

Why, in New Rochelle we have at least one family of color living within the city limits. And we also have a Chinese restaurant at that darling new strip mall. New Rochelle just lives diversity.

You must have a lot of free time to be doing a Dick Van Dyke bit to troll marquette basketball forums.
