Let's keep one thing in mind about Bracketology expert Lunardi..he is good at telling us who is in and who is out but he is not so good at matching the teams. I for one like being a 12 seed cause we can beat any 5 seed and then any 4 seed if need be. It is a better draw than being an 8 or 9 seed, cause then if you win you have to play #1.

A 12 seed is fine (more than fine when you consider the slow start), but Wake Forest would be a bad matchup and a one-and-done NCAA.
I thought that at first then I keep watching Buzz coach!! Give him time and he can pick any team apart. I will take MU in that game..
With Wake's tourney history and poor performance in a first-round game vs. Cleveland St last year, MU could certainly do worse than that in the first round IMHO.
This team will not get a 12 seed, and here is why. This team is to talented to get anything lower than a 7-10 seed. The reason they wont get a 12 is because if they do make it it will because they win out the season. If you think this team will get a 12 seed they would most likely have barely made the tournament with a few more losses and my bet would be they wouldnt make the tournament then. I believe it is 7-10 or bust.
In addition to the bracket, ESPN breaks down the Big East with their own formula called the adjusted scoring margin(ASM) Which is a devised power ranking based on strength of schedule and scoring margin.
Team ASM Games Remaining ASM Advantage
Marquette Golden Eagles 13.6 6 6
This essentially predicts Marquette winning out on an 11 game winning streak since they have a higher ASM than all the teams on their remaining schedule.
I guess i'd settle for that.
