Recap: South Florida
Player of the game: Lazar Hayward moved past Wesley Matthews and Tony Smith and into seventh place on MU's all-time scoring list with 18 points in the Golden Eagles' 63-52 victory over South Florida on Saturday night at the Bradley Center.
The senior forward also added 14 rebounds in posting his seventh double-double on the season, to go along with three steals and two blocks in 37 minutes.
"I think it says a lot about Tom Crean, it says a lot about Jason Rabedeaux -- the guys who recruited him," said coach Buzz Williams on Hayward's place in MU history. "It says a lot about Lazar to have averaged 6.6 points as a freshman and then to be on a continual surpassing of guys in the top 10 of all-time who have played here.
