Title: The way the BE is breaking now, the next two home game are huge
Post by: 79Warrior on February 11, 2010, 08:08:37 PM
If we can defend the home court over the next two, Marquette will be in an excellent position. With The Ville and the Irish going down, we can really help ourselves here.

No need to worry about Pitt right now...USF will give us all we can handle!

A very good night for MU without even stepping out on the floor.  Come on guys, take care of business on Saturday.

Yup, 1 game at a time but if we defend home court here in these next 2 you really have to like our chances, expecially sicne has already mentioned Louisville plays Cuse at the Dome on Sunday.

Also was good to see Michigan beat Minnesota..Our current RPI per Real Time RPI (before tonites results) dropped to 66.  Minnesota 63, Seton Hall 65, USF 49, Lousiville 42...all premature to talk about on some level..but a good nite for MU.

Louisville looked incredibly disinterested tonight, almost as if the players sense Slick Rick may be going.

Wouldn't that be a reason for celebration?

Let's win the next one!  USF will be a very tough game - very tough.  Let's that one in the W column for MU.
GO MARQUETTE!

The fact that MN has a similar RPI to Marquette is enough to make that measuring stick pointless.  They are a bad basketball team.

I'm almost as pumped for this game as I was for Uconn last year.  If we win, than Pitt on Thursday I will be as pumped as Unconn as last year.

Am I over hyping Saturday's game in my mind or do others feel the same?

Its big because its at home, Saturday night, big crowd and will impact the standings. Then again, if MU can get 5 more wins, it doesn't really matter who they come against, but it might as well be this one. Get the next two and that total of 5 theoretically gets a lot easier.

Pitino himself looked disinterested for the most part.  For a team getting crushed, he certainly didn't look very upset about it, especially in the first half.

I got the sense he could tell the way that one was going/would end up, very early on.
