Its a long season and guys slump. Since Acker's two 4 for 5 games he is a combined 1 for 10 from 3 pt. land and today was 0 for 4
Agree that Mo is in a little shooting slump, but he and Cubillan combined for 8 assists with only 2 turnovers. I think we had nine turnovers in the middle of the first half, and we finished with 11. Both of those guys did a great job running the offense in the second half.
yeah i'm not saying he played badly just noticing that his shooting hasn't been too great lately. The one 3 he made was that lucky one with the shot clock expiring against DePaul

My guess is that opposing coaches are taking him a bit more seriously from a defensive perspective after those two 4 for 5 games.
Most likely having a "regression to the mean", he can't continue to shoot ~80% from 3 the whole year (unless he's Larry Bird, Reggie Miller, or Steve Kerr). My guess is he'll get it back. Just look at Cubes, he had a rough 3-game stretch, but played really well today.
this could be its own thread, but is anyone else amazed that this team is as good as it is with Cubby and Acker playing 30+ minutes per game? 2 guys who were AT BEST role players their entire careers. truly amazing IMO.
(A) It's not like he could shoot any better. (B) Other coaches are probably starting to game plan for him.

Sorry, but nobody is game planning for Acker.
I heard that the studio planning a remake of the Wizard of Oz is game planning for Acker to appear as a munchkin.

this is a cruel statement
He's a role player that has been forced into major minutes. His stats this year are incredible, but it is too small a sample size......last year he shot 0% I wonder how he feels about his decision to come back? I could do without the drama, but I am really happy for MO.
We'd be in deep s_ _ t without the play of Acker and Cubie.
Thank God Mo decided to return.
Good ball handler, always brings it up against pressure, helps set up the offensive rhythm, valuable team member. Ignore some of these idiots MO, and thanks for your contribution!

Yeah, but that's what willie has to resort to now that Mo has shown that he is a valuable member of the team.
Acker may be coming back to earth as it relates to his 3pt FG%... but the statistic that I'm more more interested in is his assist to turnover ratio. Currently, he's ranked 3rd in the Big East.
