.....other than DWade, would you most like to see on this year's team? For me, it is either Mac or Amal.
Joe Nethen...only if he still has the mullet.
Robert Jackson.
BRUCE FORCE (GEORGE THOMPSON)
Dwaine Streater
agree with mug, Robert Jackson
Maurice Lucas- we'd be top ten all season.
Maurice Lucas is good. I am looking for the 7 footer to block shots. Amal is a little faster than Mac, hence my choice.

Absolutely. Maurice Lucas would provide the interior, defense, rebouding, and toughness we need. Mac is secong because of his shot blocking.

Yes.

Yes Lucas, but Jim Chones would make this team a contender for the title.
Novak
Teams would have to score 90+ to beat us if we added a shooter like him to a team that already makes a ton of threes.
I'd take McCaskill. He was a great rebounder and shot blocker, had the height, plus he was averaging double figures in PPG his senior year. I can't argue with Lucas though, either.
Chris Grimm!
Lucas. All-around.
Chones, next.
Then if we needed a banger, Jerome Whitehead.
Maurice Lucas was a MONSTER at MU and in the NBA. he's my choice for the banger we could use.
I'd be happy with Patrick Hazel at this point.
That Maymon guy
Ron Curry

Not old enough to watch Lucas, Chones, etc..., but I'd take Robert Jackson over Mac or Amal any day. Amal seemed so weak to me with the ball in his hands. Jackson may not be the best defensive choice, but it sure would be nice to throw it into the post with our shooters surrounding him.
Novak or Robert Jackson..
Joe Nethen for tough nosed D and impeccable style.
I'd go with Chones.
Jerome Whitehead, hands down the 2nd best MU after Chones.
Lloyd Moore or Paul Newman.
Not having seen Maurice Lucas, I have to go Robert Jackson.
Dick Shaw, Polo, Lovette, Ammo.
but based on his 3 pt% alone, I'd say Kinsella. :)
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOusmane Barro.
Otherwise, Rod Grosse, Tom Copa, or Walter Downing.
For real, Chones or Lucas would REALLY help. So would McIlvaine (as a Senior).
Doc Rivers at point guard
Vic Lazzaretti
McIlvaine. Wouldn't even have to play him a ton of minutes, but he was an absolute defensive machine who could alter the game and keep the other team away from the rim.
I'd love to have Farley back, the other guys are probably a little old to contribute, basketball wise.
I love Amal (of America) McCaskill. Big fan. But he couldn't hold Maurice Lucas jock.
Big Mac would slow us down.
It's lucas, chones, whitehead, George T., maybe Bo and Bob Lackey (the black swan). we would dominate.
But for kicks, how about the black belt Faisel Abraham. He would give us a physical presence and wouildn't have to score for this team. Big Robert Jackson makes more sense but "high Fai" could have taken curtis bostik out. dude was ripped
R Jax, Damon Key, Mac, Amal, Merritt...
Ben Peavy or Adam Shabes
Since we probably couldnt get them how about Damon Key or Ron Curry
Craig Aamot. The dude had handle and could flat out shoot the rock. The "A" train. No doubt!
Chones, Luke, Jerome
Glaser.
chones
Lucas.
Robert Jackson.
Chones or Lucas. No one else need apply.
Dick Shaw would bring that intimidating body and unyielding swagger we need up front :).
Robert Jackson
Jami Lott or Brian Brunkhorst.
Yeah that's some Old School obscurity coming at you
A lot of GE love for RJax, deservedly so, but Warriors and beyond strong for Mo. National Championship game and 14th pick in the NBA draft. Took the dough as one of the top picks in the ABA draft though.
Hands down it was Lucas, though I never saw George's brother Bruce play :).
The question though: Was anyone in an MU uniform more intimidating to an opponent than Maurice Lucas? He wasn't Mr. warm and fuzzy walking around campus either. One of our all-time greats, though he didn't stay long.
I didn't know that much about Maurice Lucas as an enforcer until I just read this article (http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/sports/2003552391_enforcers02.html).
Bonus photo of WesMatt's dad getting choked out by Xavier McDaniel :P

I thought this might be a link to a late 70's SI article about NBA enforcers. Luke was on the cover I believ and the article also featured Kermit Washington and Calvin Murphy (of all people) among others.
