Lazar did it all today. His energy was the best I've seen from him for 40 minutes. He was so fired up. The block was awesome.
How about changing the title to Lazer=SOG. No doubts and no arguments today.
Great game by Lazar. When we were struggling it seemed like he was the only one still playing. Knocks down a three and gets back to make a steal.
LAZAR = STUD
Lazar's best game as a Warrior. He was everywhere! In fact, I don't know of anybody else that really played well today. Hayward carried us.
I really think this was a continuation of the UCONN game (at least before he fouled out). I think he's starting to develop a kind of killer instinct and wants the ball at the end of the game.
I declare Shenanigans if Lazar isn't BE Player of the Week.
stat line is ridiculous
Nice game Zar, DJO not so nice
Zar is definitely SoG, but I think Jimmy should get some credit:
8/12 FGs, 1/1 3PT, 2/2 FTs
His efficiency is awesome.
That "1 Block" should say "1 Monstrous Rejection into the Courtside Seats"
No doubt Lazar was huge, but I agree that Jimmy needs some credit too. He had a quiet nice game and was probably our key player in the last 2-3 minutes as he hit the big 3 then took his man off the dribble and was rewarded with ft's. Winning always makes the weekend better. Great W!

12 pts, 3 rebs, 4 assists, 4-9 from the field is pretty solid, especially considering butler had 19 and cubi chipped in with 13.
I like that acker can play almost the whole game, have no to's. He wasn't shooting well, so he just took on his role well, everyone did.
This is getting fun

my only beef with DJO today was his 3 turnovers.. that's almost a third of what the whole team had..
on the other hand he had a small stretch earlier where he seemed to be able to draw fouls at will.. wish that would have continued.

Completely agree. Started the year as a great player, and is only getting better. He is making better decisions on his drives and is better at passing out of the post when he gets stuck. I think he could have shot at least 14-15 3-point attempts but passed a bunch up for better shots -- like the baseline drive for the layup. Great hands on defense. Huge heart. He is just a pleasure to watch play.

That block was a hate crime.
It was arguably the turning point in the game, and there's no way it doesn't make it into Zar's Senior Day video.
First of all.. zar played great.. agruably best game of the year
But DJO is still comitting these bad bad turnovers. Don't get me wrong, I love the guy and what he does, but he almost cost us the game! We're up 7 right? They go down make a FT, Off. Reb and get a 3, then TO for easy lay up. Oh wait, they buzz stands still to call a time out that no one would see to get a 5 sec call. Really?! Is that bad or should I say in-expeirence or bod coaching?
All in all were hot and I never thought id be exciting going to a usf game next sat. Go mu!

+1
That three by Jimmy was absolutely clutch, it put us out of reach, barely.
Could this team beat last years? I was thinking about that driving home this afternoon....
The answer is without Dominique, Yes.
This years Hayward would dominate that game.
No. I still take Wes and Jerel over Buycks and DJO. The gap is closing, however.
One thing I noticed about Lazar today is when he even sniffed a double team he would pass it out. Four assists and many occasions where he would not force it against the double team.
Keep it up Lazar!!!

That block was less of a block, and more of a missed catch.

I think if he'd somehow missed with his arm he still could've head-butted it away.

Jimmy is having a MONSTER season. This team may lack depth, but there are some really talented players.

Dominique Jones?
But I'll give Zar runner up!
