Both of these teams really need a W. When was the last time UCONN has been at the bottom of the league?
Talk about proof that the rankings don't mean anything, though they did finally drop out this week.
that being said, they got talent coming out of EVERYWHERE ON THAT TEAM. Nothing can take away from our Win.
Good team.
Go UCONN
I hope UCONN demolishes "The Ville"
I'm guessing as a Marquette fan, it would be better to have a UConn win. Any thoughts or different opinions?
You always cheer for the teams you play against against other teams, unless it affects the Big East standings negatively from a Marquette perspective.
DePaul beat us therefore we wanted them to beat Cuse, or for God sakes win at least a handful more games in conference against a team that isn't MU. Any team we lose to we want them to win also, it is all RPI related. Georgetown demolished Duke, good for us since we beat them.
So you'll be hoping both win tonight. ?-(
I like U of L tonight. Equally desperate team and UConn has yet to win a road game. I'll say UL 76, UConn 66.

We haven't played Louisville yet, and UCONN won't be a significant win if they continue to lose. I'm hoping that UCONN can rebound or else it won't be as impressive to have on our resume come March.
uconn just looks lost at times on offense, as it's 4 guys standing around watching walker, dyson or robinson go on their own.
Not looking good at all for UCONN. I was thinking we want UCONN to win too - but looks like the 'Ville is running wawya with it

Woah great guess eye. Wasn't the final 82-66?
Unfortunately, our two wins over ranked teams are now two wins against teams that are not ranked any longer. We still need some signature wins. Would have loved to see UCONN win last night.

That is not going to happen in the regular season as Pitt is the only ranked team left on our schedule. The Georgetown win is it for us.
Nature of the beast with beating teams, tends to mean they drop. UConn will still be a solid road win unless they cough up 3+ of their 4 remaining home games.

Forgot about G'Town being ranked...I was thinking Michigan and UCONN. Both are a mess....G'Town still bodes very well for us.
Xavier's not ranked currently but they're about 5th down on the others receiving votes, so they might climb back in as well.
