Pitt #5. Falling one spot after a bad day in DC is a real testament to the respect MU has built over the last few weeks, as well as the new found respect for G'town.
Hoyas are 16th
course I am sure GT fans are screaming about the fact that they are still ranked two spots below us in the AP poll and 3 spots in the ESPN poll.. ah well.
I guess the margin of defeat wasn't a factor to the voters.

They did move up 7 spots though...I wouldn't be disappointed with that.

don't know how many Bucky fans you are around... but everyday I hear them complain about OSU being ahead of them, what they don't realize is how bad OSU will beat them in Columbus
Wow, sucks to be Duke. Just one win in the past couple weeks and they could have at least tied UCLA in the record books:
QuoteThe Blue Devils had been in the media poll for 200 straight weeks — the second longest streak behind UCLA.
The Bruins' run lasted 221 weeks, from the 1966-67 preseason poll to Jan. 8, 1980.
#13 or #12 after that debacle saturday?
I'll take it.

I had the pleasure(?) of making the trip to DC last weekend. Went to the game. While waiting outside RFD downtown, a handful of Georgetown fans started talking trash to me and my MU friends. Granted, I fully expected this, and we didn't exactly keep a low profile (we rang out Ahoya while waiting in line outside the bar). One of the Hoyas (an unnaturally tan, freakishly green-eyed taller d-bag) claimed that GU would without a doubt leapfrog MU in the rankings. I tried to explain to them that, despite our loss, there was no way that kind of switch would occur. For MU it was a BigEast road loss to a ranked opponent, one 12 spots behind MU. No way does that equate to MU dropping 6 spots, even if GU managed to jump 6-7 (which they did). After my respectful, reasonable explanation, the GTown boys resorted to "we're better than you because we live in DC and you live in Wisconsin," "which one's your sister?" and "if you can't get into GTown go to Marquette" taunts. Bottom line: GTown fans (at least this small sample) are dicks, and Marquette is still better than Georgetown. And, for the record, I don't even have a sister. Idiot. ;D
Made the trip as well... the arrogance we saw on their message boards is pretty indicative of the fan base. Heard several sarcastic "Yeah, Marquette is a good school" comments as well as "Go back to Wisconsin, hicks" directed at our group. We weren't talking any trash either, so I guess GU fans just felt the need to show how stuck up they are.
