With about 4 mins left in the first half after Jimmy's putback jam and just before Cubillan took a transition three, Buzz was on the floor running back with the team after a rebound. Check it out on the replay on ESPN360, he really gets moving.
He must have been letting some nervous energy loose that he built up on watching EWill defend.
5 out on the court:
Acker
Cubes
Buycks
DJO
EWill
UConn goes on an 8-0 run to end the half.
Coincidence? I think not.
EWill is incredibly lost at both ends.
We have a nasty habit of not finishing halves very strong, first or second half.
Up 13, now up only 5. Ugh
Two small guys and the three worst defenders on the team. What is Buzz thinking?
Up 12 with two to go. Zar already on bench with two fouls, Butler picks up his second and goes to bench. Fulce had two also. Four guards and Ewill.
UCONN goes on 8 to 0 run. Shame, had the "mo", but up five with some poor shooting, excellent.
Ewill played last five minutes of half and did not look bad. Without Butler and Hayward at same time, really poor.
Keep it up...

Regardless of who is in there, we don't finish halves very strong against quality competition. It seems we play 18 minutes of each half really strong and forget the last 2.
I smell that 10-0 run a few minutes into the second half that will send us in the final minute tied. And you know how we react to that situation.
EWill held his own out there fairly well. Wasn't embarassed and let Lazar sit with the two fouls. It wasn't his fault for the end of half run, it was just an awful decision by Buzz to sit both Lazar and Butler with two fouls after Butler picked up his second. Milking the clock until halftime with Acker, Cubillan, Buycks, DJO, and EWill was going to be trouble. Risking a third foul on Hayward or Butler would have been worth having one of them in the game.

Agreed. UConn pressured the ball out high when MU went small. but, Zar, Jimmy and Joe all had 2 fouls. On to the 2nd half.
Fulce will play like 8 minutes in the 2nd half. He couldn't of had him out there for the final 4 minutes?

He's thinking "It would be really bad to see Lazar, Jimmy or Joe pick up a third foul. Better to let UConn make a run now than have a couple of those guys on the bench at the end of the game."
I know, Pakuni. I just hate to see them let UConn off the hook. Fulce picking up his third foul would not be the end of ther world.

Now we will see. Zar number three at 16 minute mark.
