I doubt the source will be in HD (i.e. using HD cameras), but both those channels are offered in HD.
When I get online and check the guide, 639 calls for "Northeast Angling" Fishing - yeah! Strange. I'm assuming you looked at the guide on the TV / set top box?
The game can be seen on DirecTV channels 639 (SNY) and 640 (MASN). Both sports channels are part of the Big East Network. You must have a sports subscription as part of your service, but that is rather inexpensive and includes all the channels in the 600's. You can catch all Marquette games that aren't nationally televised on either SNY, MSG, or MASN for the rest of the season if your are a satellite customer.

That is what I was thinking...but on the channel guide it has HD after the game listing on 640 and no HD after the game listing on 639....never seen that before....just wondering.

I'm on the online menu and it says Marquette for me. You sure you have the right parameters in there? Just go to What's on TV at the top, all channels, and scroll down to 639 and 640.

That information comes from Tribune Broadcasting Services who supplies the guide data to DIRECTV and a number of other distributors. It's not always accurate. I'm hopeful it is truly in HD, but I'm skeptical.
I'm an idiot. I thought I had the guide defaulted to my time zone, but I was wrong. Anyway, thanks for the confirm.
The last couple of saturday 11AM games on the Big East Network have been in HD.
Let's Go Warriors!!
Nice call....it is in HD. Love it
