So sitting and watching the game last night I came to realize that I do not know much about the man, except from what I hear from fellow Marquette alums as well as announcers.
I am looking for a book about his life, is there one that is considered the best or does anyone have any insight into one in which you have read?
Search Al McGuire on Amazon. You'll find a few good ones.

I like "You Can Call me Al" by Joseph Declan Moran. Moran is an alum so some love of the program comes through, which I happen to like.

Thats where my problem arose I was unsure on which book (if any) was considered the best.

Thanks
I would also recommend "Cracked Sidewalks and French Pastry - The Wit and Wisdom of Al McGuire" by Tom Kertscher.
First, a link to an incomplete list of Marquette Basketball books - courtesy of MUWiki. ;)

Second, my takes as I have almost all of the ones listed.
YOU CAN CALL ME AL - A very good read. I think it's the best one that's out there.
I REMEMBER AL McGUIRE - Very choppy. All testimonials with little flow.
THE WIT AND WISDOM - Good book, but not the best.
AL McGUIRE: THE COLORFUL WARRIOR - n/a as I'm not done with it yet! :whips himself like the Pope:
Thanks everyone as my basketball knowledge as it pertains to Marquette only applies to the last 6-7 years. Learning where it started always helps.
