Game 20: Rutgers
With the DePaul Blue Demons having broken their 24-game Big East losing streak at their expense last week, one would figure the Marquette Golden Eagles will head into Tuesday's matchup with the Rutgers Scarlet Knights ready to play a full 40-minute game.
Rutgers, along with DePaul and South Florida, has been among the dregs of the Big East over the past few seasons. In their fourth season under coach Fred Hill, the Scarlet Knights (9-10, 0-7) enter tonight having lost 23 of their last 25 Big East games dating to the start of last season, and losing all seven of their games this season by an average of 18 points.
They did play North Carolina tough at the Dean Dome just prior to the start of the Big East season, however -- even though the Tarheels have since dropped out of the top 25 -- and do have some talent.
