just wondering... given how end of the world everyone has been following the disappointing game earlier this week, and the fact that no one expects us to win today... i think it would be cool to wear the baby blues and get a W. a win today would erase all the bad karma the baby blues have given us in the last two years.
or maybe i'm just bored on a Saturday morning and looking for something else about MU bball to talk about...
YES!! Absolutely. The navy's haven't been doing so well lately.
Worth a try. Too bad the game is at SU. Orange and Baby blues would make for an interesting sight on the floor... ;)
Why not? Keep the mojo goin'
Burn the Navy Blues! They're cursed!
Baby blues it is
WOAH. That's creepy, dude.
Unless the baby blues force MU to chuck up dozens of ill advised 3's I say wear 'em. Not a single FT attempted in 1st half. Ridiculous.
The baby blues cost us the game today.

Is that seriously it? That's not exactly a marquee victory.

And on the 30 year commemoration of winning the NCAA against Pitt on National Game Day. It was the "blue out." But that was also a very special day that should be disregarded ultimately when considering their luck.

But we wore white jerseys
So we did. Thank goodness muscoop and youtube prevent me from having false memories.
First off, I will admit, I love the baby blues.
Second, I think any consideration of what our record is in the baby blues cannot be taken at face value. We only bust them out for big games, so if we wore them in nonconference, then yea we'd have a great record, but look at who we've played in them since their debut in 2007.
2007-08
@ Louisville: L
Florida Gulf Coast on Senior Night: W
2008-09
Dayton in Chicago Invitational Championship: L (Perhaps the only "bad loss" but not when you consider that Dayton went 26-7 that year and went to the NCAA Tournament).
@ Louisville (Almost won despite it being our first game with no DJ. Lost by 4 and Louisville was #6 in the country at the time, and went on to claim a #1 seed.)
2009-10
@ West Virginia: L
---At the time, West Virginia was #6 in the country, and despite a short bench, we only lost by 1 in Morgantown
@ Syracuse: L by 5 to the #5 team in the country. Syracuse is the only team in the Big East we haven't beaten in a conference game, and we nearly pulled off the comeback to beat them at the Carrier Dome
So we've worn the baby blues a grand total of 6 times. Four times for conference games. In each of the Conference games, we were on the road, and three times, the opponent was ranked in the top 10.
So really, if you're going to make the argument that the jerseys have any tangible effect on the game (which is kind of like saying that the color of a candy bar wrapper has a significant effect on the taste of the chocolate), then really, especially looking at the last three times we've busted out the baby blues, we've turned in performances far above the team's expected level of play.

I hate them. I would like to see them retired permanently even if they weren't jinxed. ;D
So, this season we've covered the spread every time we've worn them.
The baby blue uniforms are sick.
My jersey rank, in order, are Gold, Baby Blue, White, Dark Blue
