Just had a thought. Who rebounded Cubillans missed FT at the end of the game? They shoot so badly from the line, we probably would have been better off to foul the rebounder and make them shoot. Even if they did make both, and they probably wouldn't, there would have been more time for us to go on offense.
Just wondering.
no way any D-1 coach would do that

I am in no way suggesting that my post should be taken as advice for any coach anywhere. I'm just thinking outside the box.

I made a comment to my GF at the end of the game to the extent of "we should just play dirty and foul them - they shoot like 50% from the line", to which she replied "Yeah, but Marquette doesn't play dirty".
So I guess we got that going for us :)
After four of these, I'd rather just foul anyhow, let them get their points, or not, and at least give us more than .7 seconds for a last shot.
At this point, MU should just assume the team they are playing is GOING to score anyhow. Might as well foul them and get the scoring over with so we can have a chance at the end with more ticks on the clock.
Oh, who am I kidding. We'd probably not get a shot off anyhow.
