Great article about one of my absolute favorite players to don the MU jersey over the last decade.

Fascinating contrasts between Lazar's dad and Jeronne's dad.

Anybody see the improvement in Lazar's weight lifting in the media guide. Holy smokes that guy is a stud. He benches 320, squats 440 and cleans 271...and can do 28 chin ups. And when you've got limbs as long as he does, it's doubly impressive.

Yeah, no kidding.

I've coached youth basketball for many years.  I always have two things I tell parents and their kids.  To the kids, I always say if you're not going to play hard, there is really no reason to play.  To the parents, I always tell them not to care more than their kids do.

I had the good fortune to sit next to Frozena's parents at the UW game.  They gushed about what a top shelf guy Hayward's dad is.  He had been scheduled to be in Madison, but the airport in Buffalo got slammed with weather and he didn't get out.  This discussion occured as we were watching that arse clown Tim Maymon mugging for the UW students.  Contrast indeed.

While we'll certainly have a good freshman class next year, we'll definitely miss Hayward for his play and his leadership.  Why does it seem like his 4 yrs have gone by so fast?

I had the good fortune to sit next to Hayward's dad at the Pitt game in 2006.  We talked a bit and he seemed like a great guy.  It made me even more excited for Lazar to join the team the following year.

This kid is amazing. Sad story about his mom leaving.

Did Frozena's parents gripe about the offense not running through their son?

And he's quietly going to be one of the statistically best MU players EVER.

There was a Frozena Dad and Lad sighting at a Waffle House just outside Knoxville. Frozena the Elder was clearly trying to woo the resident Pancake Queen.
