The Wildcats have a couple of real keepers in Drew Crawford and Luka Mirkovic (former Crean target). They execute Carmody's system almost flawlessly and any team that beats them in Evanston will have accomplished something. Too bad Coble is out for the season with a medical redshirt. Don't know what Crawford was rated coming out of high school, but suffice it to say, a lot of schools missed on him.
I hope NU gets into the tournament this year. Their first ever bid.
Much like MU, they've had a few close losses when they've had small leads in the final few minutes. Their recent game against UW-Madison comes to mind. They are such a perennial underdog that it's hard to accept their talent level, but "4ever" is righton. Go 'Cats!

Living in Chicago, I think it would be really cool to see them get to the tourney, and I think the city would embrace them as there is no "true" college basketball presence here (I don't count U of I). However, they need to play their fundamentally sound system of basketball to the T. The UW game was a prime example. They were holding their own against a much more talented team, until they gave up offensive rebounds on 3-4 straight possessions, leading to a couple of Hughes second chance 3s, and the fat lady began to sing.
