"I'm going to bring a whole new level of toughness to this team. I'm energetic, and I just want to be the best team player I can be. I'm going to listen to all the advice I get from the coaches and players and do everything I can to improve."
Maybe this will be a turning point for him to where he works harder. In the small sampling of 9 or 10 games I could not tell if he was lathargic or he carries himself with a sense of calmness, but energetic was certainly not one of the words I would use. You don't have to be yelling and screaming intensly to be hard working, so who knows.
he looked so apathetic pretty much all times
You sure the reference isn't to Tim rather than Jeronne? It takes a lot of work and energy to continuously jump up and down and throw your fists in the air.

It takes a lot of energy to blow hot air the way Tim Maymon does. Imagine the standard of living he could provide his family if he could get paid for the bull he slings.
Apathetic, is how he looked to me, too. Carried himself more like a 10-year NBA player, than a freshman hungry for time. His motor never seemed to run very fast and he was nowhere near as athletic as I hoped he'd be.
I'm sorry, but if anyone saw him play in high school, that is how he always looked. I would call it "sleepy." But that doesn't mean he doesn't work. He worked hard on defense against UW...and it showed.
He's just a low key guy.
"T-MAC-ish"
Looking sleepy, lethargic, like you're not putting forth effort, but you really, really, really are.
Well, sort of.
