Game 17: Providence
In what could only be described as a scheduling oddity (seems there's been a lot of those lately), the Providence Friars take on the Marquette Golden Eagles on Sunday at the Bradley Center.
The game will take place exactly one year to the day MU rallied from a 13-point, second-half deficit to beat the Friars, 91-82, at the Dunkin' Donuts Center in Providence.
The victory was a big one for the Golden Eagles, who would go on to win their first nine Big East games. It was also one of their most interesting in recent memory, as their second-half comeback was overshadowed by the actions of the brother of one of Providence's players.

Any truth to the rumor that Jonathan will be an honorary official throwing up the opening tip?

Nope, Tom Crean will be on hand to do that and Crean also will be honored for his tremendous service he gave to Marquette as part of the National Marquette Day festivities.
