Broken wrist. Surgery Tuesday.
Sucks for him. Helluva player.
That is a huge blow for UW.
Bad break for Big Red. Jon would fit right in on the Warrior squad, season-ending injury and all.
I bet Bo called Crean to help get an appointment in Indy at that world class orthopedist.
gotta feel for Wisconsin.
Love to see em lose, but not like this.
yeah this sucks, UW looks good this year. As much as I hate them, you hate to see injuries like this.
He is a hell of a player and will be missed.

One would think IUPUI could recruit better talent.
Next man in for Wisconsin. Too bad for Leuer, seemed like a good kid and a nice player.
Terrible news for him. How many games can a player play and still red shirt?

I don't think there is a set number, but I don't see any way he is granted an extra year at this point in the season.
I believe it's no more than 30% of games the team plays for a medical redshirt. The Badgers are well past that.
Feel bad for the kid. And us a bit, since this most assuredly means he's back next year and not off to the NBA :'(

I'd say this is true with anyone on that team BESIDES Leuer or Hughes...

Another practical MU concern is that the Wisco opponent is one of our best so far. SOS might go down for us too if they are unable to make up for his loss.
We won that game?! Must have missed the accounting error.

I thought we lost to Wisconsin - did I miss something?

I meant opponent. Thats what I get for MUscooping during class
This seems like an ongoing occurance with marquette and wisconsin. Every time either school is about to make a run in the tournament someone crucial gets hurt. In 2007 i believe butch got hurt against ohio st, there is not doubt in my mind they were a final four team with him. Last year james gets hurt, there is not doubt in my mind we make the elite 8 with him, obviously this season has not panned out so we dont no the out come but hate wisconsin or not you hate to see the whole season go down bc of a elite player getting hurt once again. I also think diener got hurt once to didnt he?
That was the rumor the last few days. That's a big blow to UW-madison, they've been playing terrific this year.

funny, my coworkers (who are like 90% Badger fans) seem to think that they will be better off without him.

I wonder if they think the Packers secondary was better off without Al Harris too.

So nice that your workplace has such an inclusive environment for those that are developmentally delayed.

Your coworkers are surely soon to be your underlings if perception and logic are at all germane to their duties.

Really? I guess I'd love to know where you work so I can dump the stock in case I own any. :D
Badger love fest much.....
Fair and balanced commentary, given the rivalry.
I think we know that if we lost Hayward there would be outright glee on Badger boards

I don't think so. They've already seen him for the last time barring a matchup in the NCAA tourney.
There's something to be said for being able to forget what school a 20 year old plays for when he gets seriously injured and just feeling bad for the guy.

I love when trouble befalls our rivals to the west, but not through an injury to who seems to be a pretty solid player and a decent guy.
He broke it during the first half of Purdue game? ?-(

Disagree...Pretty sure there was not outright glee when Dominick James got hurt last year. The reaction of sadness and disappointment for him was pretty prevalent among anyone who had an opinion.
