WHAT A HELL OF A COMEBACK... sucks we ended up losing but damn this team is showing us A LOT!!
FIRE IT UP MARQUETTE!!
Props to DJO for making a 3 at the buzzer. Too bad we needed that about 20 secs earlier. :-\
Coming back from a 22-point deficit is great, so yes, this team is tough and gritty, but an L is an L.
now 1-5 in games decided by 4 points this year? Painful, but not a horrible way to "rebuild"

Do we get a trophy for that?

Yes, great effort. Tons of heart. Wonderful comeback. Definitely showing us a lot. We will be 3-3 after the next two games.
It is a L, but I'm surprising not upset. I would have been if we had been blown out. The team really came together in the second half. Still made some mistakes that cost them the win.
Just need to keep playing tough, the wins will come.
(plus, the site isn't crashing, so that's a plus!)
They had Nova crapping its pants. If either of those two open 3-pointers from the corner go in, it's a different game. Tremendous heart by these kids. I had a bad feeling when the ball went into JB down low, but what are you going to do?
After losses like these (to ranked teams), I'm not sure how to feel. Disappointed because we couldn't pull it out? Angry because of several TOs or missed FTs? Proud that they kept it close? Satisfied that this team is playing well past expectations?
I hate these games!!!

Agreed, great effort, but also helped out by the refs today. A lot of calls went our way, including that flagrent.
nice to see that baby king go down with a TERRIBLE injury
My expectation was that we would get our a** handed to us at this point, but I hoped to see us playing better in February. So far ahead of expectation.
I had no hopes of NCAA, and wondered if we could get into NIT. Right now, I have decent hope of NCAA spot.
Lets go WARRIORS!
Can't divert my eyes from the TV when these guys play... great effort once again. If they can just keep up this type of effort games should start to go the boys way. Fun team to watch and follow.
GO WARRIORS!
It was a great comeback! But we still lost another close one.
Getting tired of these.
God please deliver us a couple of guys over 6' 6" so we can develop an inside game. Just imagine this team with a Greg Monroe on it.

Stay classy Marquette. Better luck next year.
Or maybe we get a shot at ur cats again in MSG...
It was one poster Villacats. Not representative of MU, and I think you know that.

Says Villacats with his underdrawers still soiled after his team nearly blows a 22 point 2nd half lead on the home court.

a decent NCAA spot? So far we have one quality win, Georgetown. That will not get us in the dance.

To be fair, his post says "decent hope of an NCAA spot" not "a decent NCAA spot". I too have some hope of an NCAA spot ... but the year is still young. Right now I'm just enjoying the ride.
WEhen the season began without Otule and Junior, I thought, well let's just watch the rebuilding year and not get too excited. But I must admit, this is a VERY EXCITING team to watch. Hate that we lost these close ones, but WOW - as the thread title says, this is one tought bunch of amigos! From a basketball watching persepctive, they are fun to watch! From an MU perspective, it's heart attack city - but wow. I love these kids - heart and soul on the court at all times.

As long as you are counting, one overreaction in one thread.
Nothing classless about the use of imagery to suggest the Nova poster may have suffered some anxiety at the end of the game.
