A sideline collision during a Wednesday game at Villanova has left DePaul coach Jerry Wainwright on crutches with a torn MCL and a fractured tibia, according to a team spokesman. The Demons lost by 27, dropping to 0-3 in the Big East after an 0-18 campaign a year ago.
I always knew Nova cheated.
He'ssupposed to be a really great guy but he does have some awful fortune
Talk about insult to injury. As if things weren't going bad enough for these guys. I almost don't take any pleasure in beating the hell out of them...almost.

A lot of times he will do interviews on 670 the score in Chicago and he is hilarious. He seems like a good guy.
Wainwright is a really nice guy...he's not cut out for the big east. But none of this is really his fault. The school hired him, and now they refuse to fire him. DePaul has shown zero commitment to the Basketball program in the last 5 years, and that is the reason they are in the crapper. Wainwright isn't helping, but he was never a good coach, and DePaul got him on the cheap, and now are too cheap to get rid of him.

If I had the opportunity to have a beer with one Big East coach besides Buzz, I would definitely choose Wainwright.
I've actually met Wainwright once...great guy. It's too bad he's not good at coaching Big East basketball. And it sucks that he got Charlie Weis'ed on the sidelines.
