Title: (Acker Question) I would like to know ...
Post by: MU B2002 on January 02, 2010, 07:22:18 PM
Who told Mo his range extended to 7 feet behind the 3pt line???  Whoever got this idea in his head, please get it corrected quickly.

give him a break, he regularly hits his threes and he had some open looks today

I have no problem with him taking an open 3, none at all.  But there may be a reason you are open from that deep.

No problem with Acker.  Thank God we have him on this team - we could have been in this season without him.  He is playing over his head (pun intended).

I didn't like him taking the shot on the third last possession of the game.  That blame falls on Buzz though.

To be honest...I'm happy MU is competing.  I thought we would lose the first two games of the BEAST season by a combined 40+ points.

Why is that Buzz's fault?  And it was an open look with no one in his face.  I had no problem with it.

I also think that we are better off with Acker than without.  Especially with Buycks and DJO being so foul prone.

For all the Mo hating, it's kind of funny Buzz begged him back on the team.  Let's think about this rationally, where would we be without him right now?

This team is what it is, next year looks a lot brighter if Junior can recover fully plus the new kids coming in, but we would be in a lot worse shape this year without Mo on this team.  He's playing his guts out like every other kid on this team.  I give Buzz credit for getting the most out of what he has.

Here we go with the next year we will be awesome comments. Until two recruits quit and three players are injured.

The backcourt can't get much worse, so I'll believe we'll be better there next year.  But overall I'm still not sure how some here have described us as "loaded" or Sweet Sixteen/Elite Eight material next season after we lose 40% of our minutes and 100% of our on-court leadership.  It's quite the leap to make when you're banking on players who haven't enrolled or had the chance to get hurt yet.  Unless DJO is going to go from little more than a three point threat to a 2011 NBA draft pick like someone predicted next year might be the true "rebuilding" year.

I wasn't aware that Buzz begged Acker to return. Is that an assumption or fact?

+1  Mo is a great shooter if he is wide open.  He should take that shot 100% of the time.
