We've all speculated about what Buzz is going to do with his remaining scholarships for 2010 and we've all agreed that he has to try and go big. Problem is, EVERY D1 TEAM IN THE COUNTRY is interested in acquiring inside talent...so I got to thinking, considering the playing time awarded to and subsequent success of our current JUCO players, might there be some talent we could attract through our connections with Tyler JC [Butler / Fulce], Hutchinson [DJO], and Indian Trails [Buycks]?
I went on each team's website and pulled the names of their big men...does anyone know anything about any of these guys? Could they play at the next level? Are we interested? Are they interested??

I know, this is a real stretch and I've probably wasted too much time on this post...but it's a Monday, so yeah...
Not sure if you're aware, but JUCO players that were not full qualifiers out of high school have to spend two years at a JUCO before being eligible for NCAA ball. Take a look at the guys you listed, 7 of the 10 are freshman, who in all likelihood won't be eligible to be part of the class of 2010.
stats can be found through here www.njcaa.org

That I actually did know, I wasn't sure though if all of the freshman listed were non-qualifiers or what there deal was? Just wondering if maybe, from a JUCO standpoint, we had a few pipelines that could help us shore up our depth problems inside next season...
While we are all hoping that Buzz can find a JUCO big to come in next year and contribute, the reality is that it is pretty unlikely. The odds are slim...of one coming in and providng anything inside, above and beyond what we have in Butler, Fulce, Ewill, Otule, and Mbao.
We are going to be size deficent again next year, even if Buzz is able to sign a JUCO Big.
