Vander Blue did not decommit from UW because of what was written on message boards.
I am tired of hearing this brought up every time someone says anything critical. Some here act like everything between Blue and UW was perfect and then he read some negative things on a message board and walked away. Blue started having doubts about UW prior to the message board stuff. The Badger boards helped push him further away from UW but it wasn't the reason he decided to decommit.
Let's also remember these differences.
1. Vander only had a verbal commitment with the Badgers which really isn't a commitment at all.
2. The comments were made about Blue before he left the team so these posters on the Badger board were ripping on someone who was still planning on joining the program.
All of the criticism directed at Maymon on this board came after he quit the program. I don't recall anyone on this board attacking Maymon when he was on the team or attacking any in-coming recruits.
whew. thank god thats cleared up. now i can get back to my life.
honestly if things on a message board has any impact on players and their decisions then that would surprise me
Yeah...I don't ever remember anyone questioning Junior's weight, nor would I believe that a 17 or 18 year old kid pays any attention to social networking.
In reading both boards most of the Maymon criticizing has been directed towards ol Tim Maymon, which is where it should be going. I think MU fans have handled this whole situation very well on the message boards. We seem to keep a pretty even keel through most of this stuff.

Show me where someone attacked (the word I used) Junior for his weight.
Nobody said they don't pay attention.
Yeah... not saying they don't pay attention, but unless they are flat-out stupid I don't think it's going to sway decisions at all
the young man said his word was his bond
pledging to a school he was quite fond
until one day he read
internet words with complete dread
he now says kiss my ass and beyond
