Regardless of the official word coming out of the Blue camp, is anyone else still very uneasy about how that will all play out considering Maymon's decision?
You just have to guess that Blue has, at the very least, given additional thought to his committment in light of the recent news. My guess is that we haven't heard the end of the Blue saga, despite the official word. However, if I am wrong, it can only speak highly of Blue and his family. If I am right, I wouldn't necessarily blame him, considering the close connection to the Maymon family.
Blue committed to UW when J-May was comming to MU. He (and his family) is capable of independent thought and decisions. Would have been nice to play with your friend, but too much is at stake to base everything on that. Hopefully he chose MU for many more important reasons.
Let's not forget that Ms. Blue was the one who wanted him at UW. So for her to confirm he's still coming here is enough for me.
Why are we assuming that Vander Blue's decisions hinge on what Jeronne Maymon and his family do? Do you really think Vander is sitting at home saying to himself "Well, I was going to MU because JM told me to and now he is leaving so I should probably do what he does...." I think we are selling VB short by assuming he can't think for himself and that JM and his family are "handling" him. So they are friends....... everything I have read about VB's recruitment said that he had always preferred MU and the uptempo style. I would like to think that if Blue didn't WANT to be at MU he wouldn't have committed and that his commitment was HIS OWN decision and not JM's decision for him. Again, I think this is belittling to VB.
I think Vander's smarter than to hitch his wagon to the crazy train.
Yea, but Tim Maymon cried out he was taking Vander Blue with him, too!
Well Vander did say "that's my brother." Though something tells me he is more upset with his buddy right now than with Buzz and MU. We're not the ones telling him that they're not going to play together after all.
