Is it me or are the announcers for this game just horrible? The one guy seems like he is totally against MU and can't pronounce our studs names correctly...MacNeal and Dominick.
These dudes are pretty bush league, right out of the Tim McCarver school of name mis-pronunciation.
Love the non-sequiter questions, too, "Do you think they should move the 3 point arc back?" "Did you enjoy playing at home or on the road?"
The Seton Hall game guys were MUCH better, they were singing our praises the whole game, and pronounced names right.
The crappier of the two announcers just said that with james and mcneal having 3 fouls each the ONLY other guy we have to go to is ooze because of his career night so far (he has 9 points). I hate that guy (not ooze, the announcer).
"Nice pass from Ooze to Fitzgerald for the 3." Uh, that would be James.
What hallucinogenic drugs is that guy on?!
Stop whining and enjoy the fact that we can actually watch the game
Seriously, lighten up. These announcers are easy targets. I'm EVER so grateful for the miracle of the internet.
The play-by-play man is bad, but the fact that the color guy has a job speaking is beyond me.
The MU free-throw bashing is overboard by the color guy. They seem to make them when it matters (e.g. @ Pittsburgh)
the announcers made up for it at the end...40 some seconds left slurping those Marquette Warriors...you know you heard it!!!
strange.. because we made 12-16 for 75%... far from our dismal history earlier in the season.. in fact DJ and Cubillan were perfect.. the other shooters (Barro, Matthews, and Burke) were 50%.

The play-by-play guy was David Kaplan, who can be heard almost every night on WGN radio in Chicago. He actually knows his basketball. I think he used to be a coach and a scout.
I agree Kaplan knows his stuff, but he should not be allowed outside a studio.
Did you hear them call Wes "Jason" Matthews...mispronunciations can happen I guess, but the wrong name? That's pretty bad

I heard that and just shook my head.
I was just waiting for the Marquette "Warrior" slip-up...didn't hear it though. Must be young guys! ;)
My favorite comment was how Barro and Sean Dockery played on the same high school team and how good that team must have been. Not blaming them for not knowing that Barro couldn't play for the team, but am guessing they'd be surprised knowing that he's only been playing for a couple years.
I believe the color guy was Cedric Toney former NBA player and towrds the end of the game Warriors instead of GE's was slipped in. At least they had a producer or someone who got them to correct some of their misques like Cubban, etc.
