Title: Nova vs. St. Joes
Post by: Wareagle on December 09, 2009, 08:34:57 PM
Anyone else watching Nova pound the offensive glass against St. Joes?  Cripes, not my first choice for a mirror game series early in the BEAST season.

Yup.  These guys play so much longer than they are.  They deflect a ton of passes and are strong with the ball.  They'll out-rebound us by at least a dozen and have the potential to turn us over 20+ times.

I'm glad Scottie Reynolds is finally done this year.  It seems like he's been there forever.

True that. Funny though, I had several friends say the same thing about James. I guess thats what happens when you have a player who makes a splash his freshman year and stays for four years.

This is not your typical st joes team.

UConn's looking pretty good against Kentucky, too.  I figured they'd have some troubles with as much as they lost from last year - everyone knew Walker and Dyson would be good, and you pretty much knew what you'd get from Stanley Robinson.  Gavin Edwards is either have a career game or will be a very important piece of that team this year, plus Oriakhi has had some big plays.

And boy, do these teams like to run.

edit: And Dick Vitale just compared John Wall to Usain Bolt.  Way to update your clichés for the 21st century.

UCONN looked pretty good? I think they are going to kill us.
