Recap: North Carolina State
Player of the game: Much like his team, North Carolina State junior forward Tracy Smith came alive in the second half to help sink the Golden Eagles on Saturday at the Bradley Center.
The 6-foot-8, 247-pound Smith, who had just two points at halftime, scored 17 in the second half to help the Wolfpack post the victory. NC State's guards made a concerted effort to get Smith the ball in the paint over the final 20 minutes and he delivered by hitting 8 of 10 shots, most of which came from point-blank range.
Smith entered the game leading NC State in both scoring and rebounding at 17.3 and 9.8. He finished with 19 and 11 against MU.
