Anyone know what time the new polls come out today? I don't expect MU to be ranked, but would guess we are at least receiving some votes.
Do our wins really look that great with xavier losing to baylor and michigan to bama?
Approx. 2 EST. I expect FSU to sneak in. They were just outside of both AP and Coaches Polls.

With our wins being on national TV and all of the announcers jumping the MU bandwagon last night I wouldn't be surprised if we got a couple votes.

Thanks for answering the question db
Thank you for actually answering the question radome.
Had we hung on to our 17 point lead I think you'd see us in the others recieving votes section. With the loss though I wouldn't expect it.
Hold on against FSU and we would be ranked. the ranked teams and others receiving took a beating over the last week. 7-0 with 3 national tv wins including one over a ranked team =ranked. 2-1 = respect
I'd rather see us crack the top 25 on December 14th...since that would mean we beat NC State, UWM, and UW-Madison.
Well, the computers still like us:
Pomeroy - MU #24
Sagarin - MU #21
RPI - MU #35
http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/rankings
We're #32 in the coaches version, #28 in the AP version.
ranked 32 in the coaches poll...........right behind.......Michigan....lol.

That'd be the coaches poll for you.
28 in the AP Poll.
Michigan ranked ahead of MU. Yup, polls are officially not worth talking about.
/Moving on
Great to see ELEVEN Beast schools either amongst the top 25 or those being considered.
It's a down year

If you look at the other teams around us, I think it feels reasonable. I'm just happy we're where we are - didn't expect it coming into the season. But, it's way to early to start nutting over current polls -- lots of work to do in order to get into the tourney, which is what I care about.
Butler looks like they were grossly overrated... nice to see Portland in there, even though WVU schooled them.

Sorry, I couldn't resist correcting the grammar police. ;)
But, I agree, its just a poll... does it bring a program some face time though? yes... but I'd wait until we are top 25 before mentioning it to anyone... and I'd probably mention that we probably won't stay ranked after our first couple of BE games.
For a "re-loading year", were are exceeding my expectations. I would love to stay around the 30 point for the season, and legitimately expect to make the dance again.

+1. If you would have told me that we would be 6-1 heading into the NC St. game and ranked just outside of the top 25, I would consider it a major success. Last night's loss was a tough one to swallow. It's the 1st time all season that they have been involved in a close game. They will learn from this loss and it will make them better come Feb and March when the games REALLY matter.
