Title: Anyone seen the line for tomorrow's game?

Are we favored?

I don't condone betting, nor do I know much about it.  Bodog doesn't have the line/spread up for the game yet.  Here's the link to the matchup page (http://sports.bodog.com/betting-matchups/ncaa-college-basketball/20091129/213-126/), though.  Once the lines are updated they will be reflected there.

Will be interesting to see who is favored, but I would guess FSU will be the favored - they have been ranked about 27 and we were off the charts.  They only lost one game, and are in the final just like us.  I think they will get the nod, which is fine.

They will also have what amounts to a home court advantage.

Should be another good test for the boys.

Where's MU Dish?  He could probably guess the line and only be off a point/point and a half.  I would be shocked if we were favored.  This is a semi-home game for FSU and statistical analysis by the oddsmakers would have them higher ranked than us.  Yes, the supply and demand moves the lines but not enough from where the oddsmakers will first place the line.

Was MU 1.5 point underdogs versus Michigan, as that link shows (history)?  I would have though the spread would have been larger.

I saw that also on the Michigan game spread.  I would have guessed we were a 5 point dog at least.

I would guess we would be 1.5 - 3 point underdogs.  Basing this just by looking at Sagarin and whether the home court advantage will be factored in.  I am not an expert, just a guess.

FWIW...Sagarin has MU currently ranked 9th in the country even though we have the 313th ranked schedule out of 347 teams.....FSU is ranked 20th with the 160th ranked schedule...based on his number crunching.
Title: probably 1-point dog based on Sagarin, bigger dog based on Pomeroy

Yes, Sagarin has us 1 point better than Florida State on a nuetral court, a 3-point dog if we were actually playing in Tallahassee.  Split the difference and I'd say we are a 1-point dog based on Sagarin, but a much bigger dog based on Pomeroy, where we are 33rd compared to FSUs 17th even before the semihome factor.  Orlando is four hours away from campus, but obviously the entire state is full of Seminole grads.  Right now they are all focused on their football team's game with the Gators

I think it was marquette +5.5. I don't know why the line would adjust after the fact.

Sorry, Thanksgiving weekend family duties have had me tied up.

I haven't checked out the books yet, but based on the current ratings, Florida St should be favored by seven and a half (true neutral court rating). I don't know if the books will give FSU points for playing closer to home (my guess is not, or maybe a half point at most).

FSU currently is at 86, MU is at 78.5.

Two of the three places I usually shop both have the game as a pick, no total that I can find as of now.

In Las Vegas the game is generally a pick'em.  The over/under is 129.  A game I am interested in (not for betting purposes) is Portland vs. W. Virginia.  Portland already has beaten Oregon, UCLA (killed them) and Minnesota.

My paper has MU +2.5........betus.com has MU -1.....Pick 'em in Vegas as previously stated.

That surprises me.  I'd think MU would be giving 4-5 points.    Clearly, the last two victories has gotten people's attention.

I'll bet most services are considering it a neutral court.  Orlando is a lot closer to a home court for FSU than neutral.

Interesting that there are prop bets on Lazar and Jimmy.  For the Michigan game it was over/under Lazar @ 17 points.
Lazar over/under 23 combined points/rebounds
Butler over/under 13 points
