I know we talked about this last year but why does Buzz hate using Timeouts to stop runs? Granted he just used one but why wait so long especially with a young team?
IMHO these guys should learn to get themselves out of trouble. its nonconf right now and he should not be bailing them out when they start to slip.
maybe he knows his team and that they for the most part can figure it out themselves...
great team play and for the most part follow the game plan.
I'm sure he's having his team "show their care-ek-ter" during the opposing teams' runs.
But he has called timeouts during runs. He did it when Michigan closed the MU game to one point, something like 47 MU-46 UM.
I feel Buzz is using his timeouts a lot more this year than last, and at strategic moments or teaching oppoetunities even when we are ahead.
To paraphrase Buzz from last year: "These guys have been playing together for years and no how to work themselves out of trouble. I'm going to hold off on using them until I need to. Where's my Sweet Tea??"
I remember him saying words to that effect last year, which seemed about right.
This year he's got a lot more teaching to do and will use them more than he did last year. This pack of guys will learn to get themselves out of trouble - probably with some shouting from the bench - without using time outs.
