Figured I start yet another board tradition and post a photo collection of our upcoming opponent's famous alumni. Starting with Rutgers. Feel free to add to the list if I miss someone important.
How many can you name?

I dont know if I would want Ally McBeal as a listed great alumni
But Rudie Huxetable Fantastic!!!
Not great, but famous.
Actually that's writer/activist/rapper Sista Souljah, but I see the Huxetable resemblance. ;)
And for you saints out there, the scantily clad woman at the bottom attended Rutgers on scholarship with a double major in Business and Japanese. She would later go on to win the AVN's Female Performer of the Year.
Compared to a couple of the female alums pictured, Ally McBeal is a distinguished alum. When your other choices are reality TV drunk or aging pornstar...suddenely bad TV actress doesn't look so bad.
I don't know what's worse - that I immediately identified Asia Carrera, or that I spent time and looked up her bio - she's quite the scholar (really!) :o

What's worse is not only did I know it was her, but I knew that she's technically not an alum. She attended Rutgers, but didn't graduate.
wow.. she created her own unreal tournament skins?? wow..
she kind of reminds me Summer Williams (http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2007/writers/aditi_kinkhabwala/01/03/rocket.scientist/index.html), the houston cheerleader who is an aerospace engineer for the Jacobs Engineering Group (NASA's main scientific support contractor) - or, quite literally, a rocket scientist.

According to most official definitions of "alum" you are not required to have graduated from the school in question, merely attending it is sufficient. See dictionary.com's definition. (http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/alumna)
Who's in the bottom right?
Quote from: 77ncaachamps on February 06, 2007, 05:53:28 PM
Who's in the bottom right?
Ruthie, an (recovering?) alcoholic cast member of MTV's the Real World. Hawai'i season I believe.
Is bottom right Ruthie from Real World Hawaii?
Embarassing, I might know that.
Let's see...
I spy James Galdofini, Mr. Magoo?, David Stern, Bill Bellamy, L.J. Smith, and Jeff Torborg?

Alexei Lalas...
the aforementioned Asia Carrera, Ruthie, Calista Flockhart...
Who's the dude in the glasses, top right?
Dude in the top right: Guy from game show, if my feeble mind serves me well. Perhaps the champion of champions from Jeapordy?
(This is a guess based on whatever memory my beer has left me endowed with).

Well.. I'll let you phone a friend.. or poll the audience.. heck I'll even let you 50:50 it if you want.... ;)
The guy in the glasses is from 'Who Wants to Be a Millionaire.' He used his last lifeline, on the $1M question, to call his dad and explain that he was about to win the game. It was pretty impressive....the guy just killed every question. If my memory serves me correctly, he was an IRS agent or attorney.
and i don;t think anyone has pointed out jim valvano yet. everyone should be forced to listen to his speech at the espy's...

IRS agent.. and also the first million dollar winner on the show.
Mr. Magoo and Paul Robeson would be my favorites.

Why does he give good pointers on how to run a dirty program?
I wish cancer upon no one but dying early did wonders for his legacy...I call it the JFK Syndrome. Cruel but true, IMO.

wow. i think his legacy is as a man who tried to help others on his way out. yeah he wasn;t the most honest recruiter of all time, but wouldn't you rather be remembered for the good you did in your life and not the bad?
I just get sick of the canonizing him that ESPN does.
don't ask me how i remember this, but the who wants to be a millionaire guy is john carpenter, on his million dollar question (which had something to do with ronald reagan being an actor i think) he used his phone a friend to call his dad to tell him that he had just won a million dollars. the crowd and regis loathed him for being a smart cocky IRS agent. I wish i could remember lectures this vividly
Question was US President that appeared on Laugh In. Answer was President Nixon.

Right. Coincidentally, a good friend of mine was one of the other 9 contestants that night on the show, so he had a front row seat to history. He told us that he couldn't say what happened, but that we should watch that night. After the taping, the new millionaire took all the other contestants out for beer.

John Carpenter from Hamden, CT. Needless to say he spent a lot of time in the local news..
Did you know Marquette was the 1,000,000 dollar answer for the first time Meridith Veriara hosted a winner?

Don't forget Ozzie Nelson. I know, I'm an old guy who watched Ozzie and Harriet when Tv fare was much more family friendly.
Harvard law professor Elizabeth Warren, noted consumer advocate, head of the new US consumer protection agency graduated from Rutgers Law
Bernie Goldberg and Asia Carrera. Somebody should start a poll on which one you would want to spend the night with. My vote would be about a half hour with Asia and then talking politics with Bernie.
Ari- Please provide a role call for your listed alum's... namely, the first picture. Is the chick an alum or the dude... regardless of sex, who are they and what have they done.

That girl is actually very well spoken and a nice gal. But, in her 'disguise', can really pull off the lady of the night look.
Speaking of bright girls that look good...

Time for the traditional reposting.
In an effort to keep this classy and not get banned ... I will note that Porn Star Desiree Storm is a Rutgers grad. I tried to find a PG or G rated picture but I could not. You can Google her and if you're at work, nothing will probably make it through your firewall.
Also, it seems that Rutgers takes pride in its students producing porn in the dorms, according to this article ...
